Precision Rooted in Legacy. Focused on the Future.
Woman-owned, people-powered, and built to deliver mission-critical components with exacting tolerances.
Founded by Mike Ondercin in 1953 as a general machine shop, Criterion has grown into a trusted partner for mission-critical industries. Now led by third-generation owner Tanya DiSalvo, Criterion is a woman-owned, non-union precision machining company proudly serving the “No Failure” sectors of Medical Device, Aerospace, Defense, and Photonics.
We specialize in close-tolerance Swiss Turning, CNC Turning, and 5-Axis CNC Milling, holding tolerances as tight as ±0.0002”. Behind every part is a commitment to quality and a team trained to deliver.
Our operations are powered by ProShop ERP and a certified Quality Assurance program anchored by a Global Advantage CMM using PC-DMIS software. Recent technology investments include a HAAS 5- Axis Pallet Changer, Samsung SL 25/500 CNC Turning Center, FOBA M3000 C-Axis Fiber Laser, and the Keyence IM 6225 Image Dimension Measurement System.
But machines don’t make quality parts, we do. That’s why we invest heavily in education and training for our team. From apprentices and journeymen to engineers and office staff, everyone participates in ongoing learning and development to stay ahead of new technologies and evolving customer needs.
Criterion is ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 certified, FDA and ITAR registered, and built to take on the exacting demands of the industries where failure is not an option.
